8. We never take ownership of your content.
9. All photographs and/or vectors must strictly be followed by Cutcasters contributor agreement: http://www.cutcaster.com/info/contributor.
10. Submissions to the contest will be open for 30 days from the contest start which will start on Oct. 20th and go through Nov. 20th.
11. The winner(s) will be announced no later than 3 days after the contest closing date and will be announced on the Cutcaster home page, as well as, an entry on the blog and a personal email to the winner(s). The winners will be paid out immediately.
12. 3D will be considered in the photographs contest and not in with vectors.
Cutcaster.com reserves the right not to choose any of the submitted entries for general reasons such as: poorly keyworded, quality, noise, purple fringing, out of focus, poor composition, copyright/trademark infringement, poor lighting, distorted pixels, or images that are not relevant to the contest theme.
How Cutcaster will choose the winners (1 $50 winner in the photography category and 1 $50 winner in the vector category for a total of 2 winners).
Photograph category:
1. Quality – Submissions with the best quality will be moved to round 2 for judging. The better the quality photograph, the better your chances of winning. Quality control will consist of: lighting, noise, artifacts, pixel quality, composition, focus, purple fringing and KEYWORDING. Poorly keyworded content will not be accepted.
2. In round 2, the winner will be chosen based on overall theme/concept and uniqueness by the Cutcaster editorial team.
Vector category:
1. Quality – Submission with the best quality. Quality will be measured by: details (the more the better), style, execution, uniqueness, and complete compositions. We will also be checking to make sure all paths are closed, there are no unnecessary shapes or points in your outline, all fonts have been converted to paths/outlines and that the vector has not been autotraced. Poorly keyworded content will not be accepted.
2. The highest quality submissions will then be moved to round 2 where the winner will be chosen based on overall theme/concept, uniqueness and complexity by the Cutcaster editorial team.
GOOD LUCK!!!
